Independent Baptist

Independent Baptist churches are churches which have not joined a denomination or association of churches, including conventions or associations in which other Baptist churches participate. Each local congregation is independent (or "congregational"); in other words, each local congregation is independent of any other congregation, autonomous, and fully self-supporting.

Independent Baptist churches are Protestant churches which are generally conservative in their beliefs and fundamentalist in their teaching.
