Additional Info About Our Church
Worship: Our service includes intentional prayer, a dynamic, biblically-based sermon, beautiful music reflecting a variety of faith traditions and a weekly sharing of communion.
Music: We value music as an intrinsic part of our worship experience. Our gifted Music Director has over thirty years of experience in leading sacred music.
Sunday School: We offer a structured program for pre-schoolers and early elementary schoolers using contemporary curriculum designed to give our children the basics with love.
Serving Others: Members of the Gathering express their Christian faith by following Jesus command to care for others. Community members support, both corporately and individually, the Baltimore Interfaith Hospitality Network, My Sisters Circle, Turn Around, Habitat for Humanity, Women in Black, the March of Dimes, Maryland New Directions, campaigns for city school supplies, the Mental Health Association, and many more causes promoting peace and justice.
Theology Study: We are devoted to studying biblical texts together. Past studies have included Luke, Romans, Matthew, John, Mark and Romans. During the 2011 academic year we will study Acts. We meet Monday nights at 7:30 PM and Wednesday mornings at 10 AM. We also retreat together annually.
Community: From sharing meals on Sunday nights to seeing each other through the rough spots of life, from prayer chains to graduation parties, we are family.
