Mission:
The mission of Serenity is to bring persons into a saving and redemptive relationship as disciples of Jesus Christ. We are a Spiritual body whose only foundation is the Word of God. We fulfill our ministry as we proclaim and teach, pray and worship, forgive and reconcile. As we live by Christ's example, we empower others to carry out the commands of God. We seek only to be God's servants as agents of healing and wholeness in a wounded and fragmented world. Serenity is to be a place of refuge and hope, to lead and develop people into a saving, lasting, vibrant, and effective knowledge of Jesus Christ and to promote love and fellowship among all the people of God. It is the mission of Serenity to preach and teach the word of God, evangelize, provide outreach ministries, worship almighty God and to build strong church relationships.
Vision:
S.B.C. shall be a church where the lost, the hurting, the depressed, the frustrated, the rejected, the lonely, and the confused can study to fulfill their calling and find love, acceptance, help, hope, forgiveness, guidance, encouragement, and a sense of belonging. S.B.C. shall be a church of making Christ known, by sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ with all those whom God gives us opportunity to reach for Him. S.B.C. shall be a church of knowing Christ and making Christ known by developing people to spiritual maturity through the preached Word of God, Bible studies, small groups, seminars, workshops, retreats, Sunday school, and other meaningful fellowships. S.B.C. shall be a church that equips each member for significant ministry by helping them to discover, develop and exercise their Spiritual gifts, natural talents, experience and resources. S.B.C. shall be a church that is working to maintain a beautiful worship center, adequate classrooms for biblical studies and training, and other facilities for holistic ministry to the whole man within our community and beyond.
