Additional Info About Our Church
Oakwood Church was formed by Pastor Frank Radcliff and Pastor Ron Woody in 1997 to grow a life-changing church that reaches beyond just "doing church" or a religious social club; but a local group of believers driven to accomplish God's will for the church.
The Bible is our non-negotiable source for ideas regarding what God's vision is for Oakwood. From the beginning, the leadership of Oakwood has viewed the basic philosophy of the Purpose-Driven Church as a practical model for how we can structure our local church body to fulfill God's calling.
Mission:
A group of active Christ followers, pursuing authentic relationships with Him. Striving to spark revival and change in ourselves and our communities. By helping the lost to find Christ, and living lives with Jesus at the center of it all.
Vision:
Active Believers: Oakwood Church is committed to being an active body of believers. That means being invested in our communities, not just living in them. It means meeting people where they are, not where we'd like them to be. And it means sharing our faith, not just in words, but in how we live our lives.
Revival: We believe God has called us to be the change in our communities. Not just through community outreach, but reaching into the lives of those around us. At Oakwood Church, we're constantly looking for new ways to have a positive impact on the communities we serve. Planting the seed of revival, one person at a time.
Christ at the Center: As followers of Christ, we feel it's critical to keep our eyes on the big picture. That's why we keep God's Kingdom at the center of all that we do here at Oakwood. We strive to help our congregation find God's calling for their lives, as well as aiding our brothers and sisters in Christ, both near and a far.
Purpose:
Worship, Discipleship, Fellowship, Service, and Evangelism
