North Side Christian Church is part of a world-wide group of churches often referred to as the Independent Christian Church/Churches of Christ. Independent, signifies an autonomous church governed only by the Scriptures. There are approximately 6,000 congregations like us around the US, and Canada. Our mission is the same as identified in the New Testament, Matthew 28:18-20. The proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, "Bringing people to Jesus, and to one another." We are dedicated to the Church founded by Jesus Christ in the first century as recorded in the book of Acts. We have no man-made creeds. We believe the Bible is enough.

On behalf of the entire congregation, we want to welcome you to our community of believers, and to thank you for visiting with us for worship. We trust that you were blessed during your visit, and we look forward to having you as our guest again soon. Northside is made up of families of all ages who share together in a unique blend of Christian community and service, "Bear one another's burden, and thereby fulfill the law of Christ, So then, while we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, and especially to those who are of the household of the faith" (Galatians 6:2, 10, NASB). At Northside, though small in number, we are many when God is the center of everything we do to serve Him and those who come our way. We are a very caring congregation that strongly believes in reaching out to spread and apply the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Here you will find a warm welcome and ample opportunity to grow in your relationship and walk with Jesus Christ and His Church. Our mission is to honor our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, by carrying out His command to make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:18-20).

Specifically, we believe that God has called us to focus on reaching those in Huntingburg and the surrounding communities (Acts 1:8). In order to accomplish this, Northside Christian Church will be an equipping center where every Christian can grow to his or her full potential for ministry.

This development will come through: creative and inspiring worship; teaching which is biblical and relevant to life; preaching the truth in love; building relationships with one another; opportunities for outreach into the community in service and evangelism.

We delight together in what God is doing through us to bring: healing within brokenness; unity within diversity; joy within grief; light within darkness; hope within Jesus Christ.

We seek to accomplish this through: local ministries to the community; support of local and worldwide missions.

Vision:

The vision of the North Side Christian Church is to lead people to faith and commitment to Jesus Christ and the Christian Life, to serve the community and world in which we live, and to work as one with all other Christians to bring about the Kingdom of God.
