Additional Info About Our Church
The New Vision Baptist Church at the Cathedral is a predominately African-American Christian congregation. We seek to encourage spiritual maturity, educational and professional attainability, intellectual stimulation, spiritual, physical and emotional well-being, and social engagement and responsibility for its congregants and the broader local and global communities. New Vision is a ministry committed to proclaiming and living out a holistic gospel of liberation, restoration, healing, and empowerment.
With a blend of traditional and contemporary elements, our worship service is dynamic, exuberant, and high-Spirited. Our preaching at New Vision is Christ-centered, biblically based, theologically sound, and socially relevant. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. Come once and you will be back again!
At New Vision Baptist Church at the Cathedral, we invite you to: Experience the Love of God; Enjoy the Favor of God; Engage with the People of God; Encounter the Presence of God
Our religious tradition is Baptist, but not in the traditional sense. We embrace several tenets which have been historically and traditionally shunned by Baptists, but rather embraced by Pentecostal and charismatic movements. We seek to have a balance with our tradition and our experience, thus enjoying God in God's fullness.
