Additional Info About Our Church

In June 2001, Pastor Mckizzie and family removed their membership from Redeemer Missionary Baptist Church and started ministering to the elderly at Walker Methodist Nursing Home. He was compelled to spend the last months, of his Grandmother Mary Boone's life, preaching the gospel and singing hymns of praise to those who had been forgotten. During this Fellowship New Creation Baptist Church was founded.

Mission:

New Creation Baptist Church is a group of baptized believers who believe in the Triune God. One God with three personalities. God the Father, God the Son (Word) and God the Holy Spirit. These three personalities are also called the Godhead. (1 John 5:7).

God the Father is God the author, the originator of all that exist. It was in His mind, first, that all took shape. God the Son, our Savior is God the artist, the Creator of all that exist. He brought into being all that had been originally formulated in His Father's mind. God the Holy Spirit is God the agent who presents these facts to both our mind and our spiritual understanding so that they become both real and relative to us as individuals. We are a church that is dedicated to God's Word. We believe that God is immutable which is unchangeable (Hebrews 6:18) and the written Word of God is His authority, will and purpose for humanity. And the Word of God is not to be compromised because of a changing society. Our theme is "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation." (2 Corinthians 5:17).

We believe the only way to pleasingly walk worthy towards our Heavenly Father is by studying the Word of God and growing spiritually. We believe that Jesus Christ is the only way a person can be saved and live all eternity with God. John 14:6 says, Jesus said unto him, "I am the way, the truth and the life; no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."

It is our prayer that New Creation will continue to serve as a source of inspiration for new Christians as well as those who have known Jesus Christ for many years and to continue advancing this ministry with boundless enthusiasm and Spirit-led wisdom.

We are members who follow the vision given by God for the Church: To preach/teach redemption, salvation and deliverance through the acceptance of Jesus Christ to those who are bound. To study and teach the Scriptures (the Holy Word of God). To bring enlightenment to those in darkness, help to the helpless and hope to the hopeless through Jesus Christ. To promote Spiritual growth and development through the knowledge and application of God's Word. To become beacons of light to the lost, and a lifeline to those who are drowning in sin. As a church, we must not hesitate to reach forward to new and higher goals. We aim to continue growing and joining together to meet God's Challenge to know God and make Him known by "Growing Into the Knowledge of God's Will."
