Additional Info About Our Church
This is the beginning of another season of ministry. In October 2013 it has been 17 years since Pastor Ben Tippett and Helen Tippett moved to Putnam County to plant a brand new church, which still continues today as Victory Christian Fellowship in East Palatka, FL. The door has been opened for Helen and Pastor Ben to plant another church in the Florida South Putnam County area. This will be a venture of faith and the Lord is giving us a fresh and enlarged vision. Our prayer is for God's will be be accomplished and that He receives all the glory. Our first congregational meeting was held on Thursday, October 3, 2013 to share our vision and to discuss plans for the planting of a new church. It was a very profitable meeting with 13 people present and three others were unable to attend. We held our first Worship service at the Lake Como Community Hall building on Sunday, October 13, 2013 at 10:30 am and will continue to hold services there until we are able to build a new church on US 17.
We meet at Lake Como Community Center (103 Highland Ave, Lake Como, FL 32181).
Mission:
"A Great Church is ordinary people with a Great Commitment to the Great Commandment and the Great Commission."
Vision:
To make Prayer our #1 priority and to hear God's voice and obey His will, through teaching and preaching of the Word; To allow God's presence to have full liberty in our services through Biblical praise and worship; To be united in Christ, welcoming all who God calls to fellowship among us; To nurture and make disciples, teaching them to invest time, energy and finance through ministry; To plan and implement ministry opportunities of evangelization that are unique to all generations, cultures and people; To train and send workers in fulfilling the Great Commission of Christ, starting in our Jerusalem and reaching to the ends of the earth as God enables; To be open to the direction of the Holy Spirit in areas of physical expansion.
Purpose:
To serve as a witness and to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ to a world in need of Salvation.
