Additional Info About Our Church
Jesus said, "Follow me and I will make you fishers of men." (Matthew 4:19)
We believe that God created the universe without pre-existing matter (Hebrews 1:3). We believe the Bible to be the absolute truth and completely without error (2 Timothy 3:16). All people have sinned and need forgiveness(Romans 3:23). Jesus Christ was virgin born, sinless, died on the cross for sins, was raised from the dead on the third day, and is coming again (Matthew 1:18; Hebrews 4:15; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Revelation 22:7). Salvation is a gift, bestowed by God's grace and received by faith through true repentance (Ephesian 2:8-9). Immersion in water of a professed believer is the Bible baptism (Acts 8:36-39) and for the remission of sins, which is a command of the Lord! (Acts 2:38) such baptism is symbolic of Christ's death, burial, and resurrection (Romans 6:1-4). A believers salvation is secured by Christ alone (John 10:27-28). The church is the bride of Christ (Ephesians 5:25-33) and the body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12). The purpose of the church on earth is to fulfill the last command of Jesus (Matthew 28:18-20). Christians are endowed with spiritual gifts than enable them to serve in the church (Ephesians 4:12). The Holy Spirit, which every believer receives at baptism (Ephesians 1:13-14) leads and guides us.
"If we are Fishers of men, then we live in a Fisherman's Paradise, because there are lost people everywhere." (Dan McDonald)
