Additional Info About Our Church
We use Hakha Chin dialect. This church is one of the fastest growing Baptist Churches in Ohio. The church has a bout 940 church members. ECBC is a member church of ABCOHIO.
The Emmanuel Chin Baptist Church (ECBC) is a distinct denomination of Chin Christians from Myanmar that comes together as one united church to join faith with action. The ECBC is an immigrant church that welcomes all people.
Our church is affiliated with Chin Baptist Churches USA and American Baptist Churches Ohio. We work alongside more than five mission partners in Myanmar and Bangladesh. Our vision is primarily to proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ to the Chin people in USA and in Myanmar. As an immigrant church from Myanmar, we continue to ceaselessly fight injustices such as human rights abuses, prostitution, human trafficking, drug trafficking, gun violence, gambling and lottery in Myanmar and USA. We instill our vision into our children and young adults in an effort to produce new leaders for a changing world.
We believe in a triune God-the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, a God that is still speaking and is all-loving and inclusive. We are a church that uses Hakha Chin as the church official language. We are a church that welcomes and accepts everyone as they are, despite their personal history. We are a church where Jesus the Savior meets the sick, the wicked, the sinners and the poor, and where together we are growing a just and peaceful world for the next generations to come.
Mission:
Loving God, loving people, loving neighbors and making disciples of Jesus everywhere we go and to plant a vibrant church that follows the teaching of Jesus
Vision:
To proclaim the good news among the Chin and Burmese people who are in Ohio and to do outreach ministry in the community.
Purpose:
To proclaim the good news of Jesus to all the people
