Additional Info About Our Church
We are a Filipino-American Baptist Christian Church here in La Puente, CA.
Mission:
The purpose of Cornerstone Church La Puente is to develop fully devoted followers of Christ, who will live for the chief glorification of God Almighty, in their lives and to the ends of the earth.
Vision:
Our vision can be summed up in 3 words..."Gather, Pray, Go" To "GATHER" means that we place value on the gathering of the saints to: 1) To worship God together as a body of believers; 2) Fellowship with one another; 3) Be accountable and share lives with one another; 4) To teach one another through shared experience on living life as Christian believers.
Purpose:
Including "PRAY" in our vision communicates our desire and understanding that: 1) Prayer is the fuel that drives our ministries; 2) Prayer is our means of hearing, responding, and communicating with God and His call for us in our lives; 3) Prayer humbles us by placing us in a posture of surrender to the will of God. Lastly, "GO" signifies: 1) Our acceptance and understanding of our need to get out of these four walls; 2) The calling we've received as a church to send out missionaries and plant churches; 3) The need for the church to be a place of power in our communities; 4) The utter need for the gospel message to be given and received by those who do not know Him.
