Additional Info About Our Church
We are a church growing and changing with the times without loosing our traditional teachings. We are a parish that is made up of folks with different backgrounds and different denominations. We are a younger congregation that has something for everyone. The Church of The Good Shepherd was founded by The Rev. Jason Crowder, a former Methodist layman whom accepted the call to plant a traditional church. The original church was located between Sweetwater and Niota Tennessee. On July 22, 2017 the church suffered a devastating fire that forced the church to relocate. After a lot of prayer the church was relocated and is now housed in the former Blue Springs Baptist Church in Philadelphia Tennessee. Church of the Good Shepherd believes that its members should know Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, through the operation of the Holy Spirit. We believe that each member should have a lively faith in Christ and not a "Sunday only" faith. We preach Jesus Christ crucified and say to all who will hear: "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved and thy house." (Acts 16:31)
We believe the worship service should be centered on our Creator and not on a man who merely preaches his Word. We invite you to join us and see how it has ever been done by those who seek only to serve. In service to our Savior and to our fellow man.
Mission:
Church of The Good Shepherd is a loving Church family, seeking only to serve our Lord. We do this by serving our fellow man who is lost and seeking the way.
Purpose:
Living the Great Commission
